How to Work with Creditors Yourself When You're Facing A Payment Problem.
Most people dread the idea of having to engage in direct communication with their creditors. The reason is that consumers are intimidated by the “power” that creditors are perceived to have in relation to the “vulnerability” they see themselves as having as individual debtors. There’s a Biblical principle that explains this natural reluctance: “the borrower is a slave to the lender” (Proverbs 22:7). That’s why, unless you feel good somehow about feeling vulnerable or you enjoy being enslaved, indebtedness is always something to avoid. But the truth is most people are in debt and most people will eventually at one time or another have to communicate with one or more of their creditors.
